Youth Programs

It's the coolest sport on earth! And you can learn to play right here at IceWorld. We offer a variety of 'learn to play' programs for youth through adults. We offer outstanding coaching as well as reasonable ice times and a schedule that can meet your needs.

Youth Hockey Skills Nights

Another series of this very popular skills clinic begins August 11th.. Open to all ages and levels of youth players.
Note the new schedule and class topics:

Monday, August 11, 6- 7 pm: Puck Handling on the Move inTraffic

Monday, August 18, 6-7 pm: Shooting on the Move with Pressure or in Traffic

Thursday, Sept. 4, 5:15- 6:15 pm: Shooting: Tips, One Timer, and Quick Release

Thursday, Sept. 11, 5:15-6:15 pm: Power Skating: Edges & Quick Starts

Thursday, Sept. 18, 5:15-6:15 pm: Power Skating: Backwards & Transitions

Thursday, Sept. 25, 5:15 to 6:15 pm: Power Skating: Stride, Speed, and Power


Skills will be taught for the first 40 minutes of class.
The last 20 minutes will be open practice and instructors will be on the ice for questions and further help if needed.

Cost $12 per session, limited to the first 30 skaters.


Hockey Basics

Ice World offers high quality Hockey Basics instruction for boys and girls, ages 4-15. Each program is 6 weeks long, can be repeated, and when successfully completed, will prepare the child for Recreational League play.

Hockey Summer Camp

Ice World is pleased to announce our schedule for hockey summer camp. Two sessions will be offered, July 7-11, 2008 and August 11-15, 2008.

Youth Pick-Up

Ice World Youth Pick-up will be on Friday nights from 7:15-8:45pm. This hour and a half session is limited to the first 30 skaters. Goalies are free, $10 for all other players. Players must be entering Bantams and no older than 18, a last year Midget.


U-10 Summer Youth Rec Hockey

Join our Summer Hockey League for youth under 10! Keep your competitve edge during the 'off season.' This league will give players the opportunity to stay in shape while having fun in the summer!

U-14 Summer Youth Rec Hockey

IceWorld is now accepting applications for SUMMER 2008 Youth Rec Ice Hockey. The program is open to all roller or ice hockey players who have completed Hockey Basics or other clinic / instructional programs. The goal of the program is to give beginning players an opportunity to play and develop ice hockey skills in a structured league. Boys and girls between 10 and 13 are eligible to play. Age divisions will be based on enrollment.

High School Hockey Summer Hockey League

Join our High School Summer Hockey League! Keep your competitve edge during the 'off season'. This league will give players the opportunity to stay in shape while having fun in the summer! Open to Boys and Girls entering 9th grade through completion of 12th grade in the Spring of 2008.

Stick & Puck

Ages 14 and Under. Stick 'n Puck sessions provide the opportunity to sharpen player skills and provide extra practice time. A chance to work on skating, stick handling, shooting and passing. Parents are welcome to play!
